The Role

We are seeking an experienced software engineer to join a talented team here in Cambridge.

​

Day to Day

• Integrating and maintaining homemade C/C++ functions into our flutter applications

• Focusing on the performance speed of algorithms written to allow for live feedback

• Controlling an embedded camera system on an app using Obj-C, that takes advantage of face and landmark detection and implements our own image processing techniques

• Manages data flow at a system level and passing it to app level to be stored in a database

Desired

• 1-3 years experience 

• A degree or higher in computing, mathematics, physics, or engineering background.

• Practised in C/C++ with a profound knowledge and track record of software architecture design

• Skilled in embedded use of Objective-C and Java

• Experienced in the development of noSQL databases

• Writes well-structured, testable code, with a focus on simplicity and maintainability

• Are comfortable with both frontend and backend development

• Experience working in an agile development team, following software engineering best practices

Nice-to-Haves

• Practised in languages including: Python, Flutter/Dart

• Has developed and published apps (ideally cross platform) to the app store and play store

• Has integrated SDKs and APIs into low level code and interfaced between low-level and high-level languages

• Has worked in a startup environment or with medical devices
